Goals
The International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN) has members operating in 58 countries globally. In so doing, the main goal of the IFCN is to strive to promote education and the attainment of the highest level of knowledge and understanding in the field of Clinical Neurophysiology. This is the main objective, but in its pursuit, other goals of the IFCN include:
1. To foster and encourage scientific research, investigation and demonstration in the field of Clinical Neurophysiology
2. To improve the quality of instruction in the professions dealing with these sciences.
3. To supply information to cooperate with and to advise, through its committees, any society, institution or individuals interested in these problems.
4. To propose standards, agreements and regulations and to give advice concerning criteria for the best apparatus, methods, techniques and for the interpretation of results.
5. To establish and maintain an efficient collaboration with international and national learned societies, governmental organizations, professional associations and other groups, societies, institutions and individuals who contribute to progress in the field of Clinical Neurophysiology.
