Editorial Board Changes in Clinical Neurophysiology
In his farewell editorial Mark Hallett pointed to changes in the journal and in publishing that had occurred during his tenure as Editor-in-Chief. Those changes continue and are necessary as we strive to enhance our relevance and stay competitive as the journal of first choice for cutting-edge science involving the function of the nervous system. After years of long service to Clinical Neurophysiology and the IFCN, the following members of the Editorial Board have completed their terms and have stood down as Editors. The Executive Committee of IFCN would like to record its sincere thanks for their service.
Alfredo Berardelli, Rome; Leonardo G. Cohen, Bethesda; Giorgio Cruccu, Rome; Günther Deuschl, Kiel; Gary C. Galbraith, Pomona; Scott T. Grafton, Santa Barbara; Terence D. Lagerlund, Rochester; Alain Maertens de Noordhout, Liège; Kimford J. Meador, Gainesville; Ulf Ziemann, Frankfurt am Main
The Executive Committee of IFCN has approved the appointment of the following colleagues as members of the Editorial Board, and we welcome them to the Editorial team, and look forward to their suggestions on the directions for the journal.
Manuel Alegre, Pamplona; Mark B. Bromberg, Salt Lake City; Kerry Coburn, Macon; Donald J. Crammond, Pittsburgh; Masashi Hamada, Tokyo; Charles Jablecki, San Diego; Takashi Kujirai, Yamagata; Hiroyuki Nodera, Takushima; Haim Sohmer, Jerusalem; Yasuo Terao, Tokyo
The work of Editor-in-Chief is greatly eased by the Associate Editors of the journal, and they have done much to assist the incoming EiC in assuming this position on the retirement of Mark Hallett, some staying on just to see him through the transition period. We are very grateful for the dedication of all of them, but would like to single out two, John Connolly and Gabriel Curio who are standing down now as Associate Editors. Both John and Gabriel had indicated a desire move on, but agreed to continue for much of this year as the incoming EiC settled in and searched for replacements.
To fill the vacancies on the Editorial team, Matthew Kiernan (Sydney), Craig Tenke (New York) and Ulf Ziemann (Frankfurt am Main) have been appointed Associate Editors, joining Fabio Babiloni, Anders Fuglsang-Frederiksen, Kees Stam, Kaz Ugawa and Josep Valls-Solé. We extend a warm welcome on behalf of Clinical Neurophysiology and the IFCN and look forward to their advice on the direction of the journal.
You may have noticed that the number of books submitted for review has declined drastically, and on the advice of Josep Valls-Solé, we abolished the position of Book Review Editor.
Finally the Editor-in-Chief and the Executive Committee of IFCN would like to take this opportunity to thank our audience and our authors, and again to encourage you to send in ideas on how the journal might be improved.
