Young Investigator Paper Awards

Under the auspices of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology, Elsevier has established four young investigator paper awards to be presented at the International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology that is organized every four years. The paper awards consist of a prize of 5,000 EUR each and a certificate. The prizes are named in honor of:

The awards were established in 2016 and 2017:

• The Mary Brazier Young Investigator Paper Award (2016, thereafter once every 4 years starting 2018)
• The William Cobb Young Investigator Paper Award (2016, thereafter once every 4 years starting 2019)
• The Herbert Jasper Young Investigator Paper Award (2017, thereafter once every 4 years, starting 2020)
• The Grey Walter Young Investigator Paper Award (2017, thereafter once every 4 years, starting 2021)

Award

The 2022 Mary Brazier Award and the 2023 William Cobb Award will be presented at the International Congress of Clinical neurophysiology, 2024 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Eligibility

• Full-length original research paper published in Clinical Neurophysiology
• Young investigator status defined by an age limit 35 years on December 31 in the year the candidate paper was published in Clinical Neurophysiology
• First author of the candidate paper

Applications Must Include:

• A letter from the applicant stating his/her interest in the competition
• A current curriculum vitae and verified statement of birth date (e.g. copy of passport or birth certificate)
• The paper accepted for publication in Clinical Neurophysiology

Deadline for receipt of applications: January 31 in the year following the year in which the candidate paper was published.

The Editors of Clinical Neurophysiology will review eligible manuscripts and the Executive Committee of the International Federation of Clinical Neurophysiology (IFCN) will make final decision about the awards. Executive Committee members will not be involved in the judging papers from their own center.
