Latin American Chapter News

October 2026

The IFCN Latin American Chapter (CLA) continues to strengthen clinical neurophysiology education and collaboration across the region. The Chapter brings together 10 Member Societies representing Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Guatemala, Mexico, and Uruguay.

Over the past year, the Chapter has supported several important educational and scientific activities. In 2025, the CLA partnered with the Peruvian Society of Neurology and IFCN’s Global Outreach initiative on the First International Course on Nerve Conduction and Electromyography in Lima, Peru. The program combined virtual education with hands-on training and reached participants from across the region.

More recently, the Latin American clinical neurophysiology community came together in Cartagena, Colombia, for the 34th International Congress of Clinical Neurophysiology (ICCN 2026), held September 8–12, 2026.

The Chapter looks forward to continuing this momentum with upcoming regional events:

  • XIX Brazilian Clinical Neurophysiology Meeting
    November 20–21, 2026 | Brazil

  • Latin American Chapter Congress
    September 16–18, 2027 | Buenos Aires, Argentina

Through educational programs, regional meetings, and collaboration among its Member Societies, the CLA remains committed to advancing clinical neurophysiology throughout Latin America.
